Quality and quantity of water resources of the GMFA

Basic water projects of the GMFA are the water-flows within the water-collecting basin of Gassi lake which is the second water receptor in the GMFA after the Amur river. The lake is connected with the Amur through the natural channel “Gassinskaya”. To provide more favorable conditions for water fauna and animals around the lake, it is advised to change the hydrological regime of the lake by means of building a regulated sluice with or without a small hydropower station.
