Study of the structure, the dynamics and the functional organization of natural ecosystems in the territory of the GMFA |
| Basic features of the structure, dynamics, and capacity of forest resources and functional organization of the natural ecosystems of the GMFA are analyzed and systematized. Three altitude forest belts are found in the relief: #1 larch and decidious forests, #2 cedar-pine (korean pine) and broadleafe forests, and #3 conifer (spruce and fir) forests. The GMFA territory is also divided into zones based on a complex ecological framework of protection forests, structure and dynamics of biodiversity. The classification and system for descriptions of succession dynamics of basic forest formations has been developed. The forest ecosystems are represented by 56 forest types. Statistic models for structures and productivity of stands of the basic forest types, and schemes of their habitat are developed. In the mountainous part of the GFMA (up to the altitude of 450 m), north-west slopes of moderate steepness (to 20o) prevail. A scheme for prediction of succession series of forests of the GFMA is developed. A concept of development of the GFMA meeting the international requirement is proposed. The project is illustrated with 22 colored schemes and contains 26 tables. |
